• i need help
  a key sign has popped up on my display and now it wont work

  • Hold down the start button it will remove key sign, it is the child lock.

    • i did that and they sign has stopped flashing but remains on. if we hold the start button the key sign alternates between flashing and remaining on plus beeping each time.

  • It's the child lock. I only managed to remove the lock by turning the dial to whichever programme had been running at the time it was accidentally set and then holding down the clock key for 5 seconds. I realised that I usually finish by using the dryer so set dial to 'gentle dry' and then held the clock key and hey presto! Finally! I know these posts are old, but I've just found them helpful so I'm hoping this might help someone else & save a call out fee!

• I think the bearing on the drive/wheel is making a slight rumble sound. Is it possible for a DIY repair that I will be able to do or do I need to employ a service engineer to replace the bearing?

  • Hi, did you find a solution to this? I've got the same problem. I know you can normally change the bearings, but the drum looks sealed on this model! Thanks

    • Hi, depending on how skilled you are. The bearing can be removed using a puller, it must be replaced.

      • Thanks. It's a sealed metal tub. Panels are one complete unit wrapped around washer. There's a back access panel (to belt and spider) and you can also remove the top. Any advice would be great!

  • Hi, F04 Error menan: No pump piloting
    Probably you must cleaning waste from pump.

    • Hi, error code F04 on a Bosch Washing Machine means that the machine hasn't been able to pump out. The most common defect is clogged filter, check it out.

  I was drying the clothes for 10min after the washing cycle and now the door seems stuck.
  I trued the 5sec push on the start button and tried turning it off but to no avail.
  Please help me, im leaving today and my most essential clothes are stuck!

  • I need help too. Key sign flashing with twin beeps if i press and hold start button but does not go out. Some one please advice. Program was set to easy care

    • I do not know if this helps: Turn off the machine, turn the wheel to start the program. Turn and hold the button for about 5 seconds.

      • you need to use the clock button instead of the start button

        • Thanks that worked !! Wish I had know before I wasted 4 hours trouble shooting.

• SUCCESS!!! Was getting the 1 min left on the timer and the flashing door lock when tried to start any programme. Tried all sorts of button pressing. Unplugged it etc.
  Finally turned it off until door released (as normal) and then held button down for a few seconds with door OPEN and it all went back to normal.
  Phew. Not sure now whether it was the power or timer button.

    I have same problem. the washing machine stops drying with 1 minute remaining, and the lock key is flashing.

  • Bosch exxcel washer/dryer the dryer stopped working after being switched off for a while when I went shopping switched it back on to no avail it won't drain the water also the dial moves across and the end of programme signal comes on

• hi. i'd like to know how I should use the dryer setting once the wash cycle is over? Plus i used a detergent tablet and it was stuck to one piece of clothing the whole time and did not wash the clothes. Should i put this in the drawer or the drum?

• hi ,, the key is flashin on my washer plus the the spin symbol an looks like it hasnt finished load but must of lent over washer to which then i thought it was finished , took load out an put other load in an key flasing

• How do I get the washing powder/softner draw out, as there is a terrible smell coming from it and I think it needs a good clean?
